PayMyDoctor.com: How to Pay Your Medical Bill Online
PayMyDoctor is Veradigm’s online payment portal for doctor’s offices. To pay, you usually need just two things: the account number on your statement and your date of birth. Here’s how it works, step by step.
Go to PayMyDoctor.com โ๐งพ Is This a Bill or an EOB?
Many people try to pay the wrong document. Pick what yours says at the top:

On Veradigm’s sample statement, it sits in the blue payment box. Your statement may look slightly different:
Use the Account Number, not the long barcode or statement reference numbers.

|---|---|---|
| www.paymydoctor.com | Veradigm (Payerpath) | Your statement or doctor’s website sends you there |

๐ Got an EOB first? Read this before paying
An EOB from your insurer, Medicare or a program like CHAMPVA shows what was billed, allowed and paid. It is not a bill. For example, CHAMPVA EOBs say “Information only, no check enclosed” and list what the program paid the provider.
When your provider’s statement arrives, compare it with your EOB. If the amounts don’t match, call the billing office before paying.
๐ก Before you pay
- Check the dates of service and the patient name.
- Make sure insurance has processed the claim first.
- Ask the billing office about payment plans if the balance is large.
- Many U.S. practices offer financial assistance. Just ask.
- Keep your payment confirmation until the balance shows zero.
๐ ๏ธ Payment not working?
- Account not found: re-type the account number exactly as printed, and check your date of birth.
- Wrong practice: use your doctor’s own PayMyDoctor link from the statement or their website.
- Card declined: try another card, or Apple Pay or Google Pay if offered.
- Balance looks wrong: call the billing number on your statement.
โ ๏ธ Avoid payment scams
- Only pay through links on your statement or your doctor’s official site.
- Don’t trust “PayMyDoctor support” phone numbers from random websites. Call the number on your statement.
- Unexpected texts or emails demanding urgent payment may be scams.
- Report fraud at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
PayMyDoctor FAQs
What is PayMyDoctor.com?
PayMyDoctor is an online patient payment portal from Veradigm (formerly Allscripts), part of its Payerpath billing system. Doctor’s offices that use it let patients pay their statements online.
What do I need to pay my bill on PayMyDoctor?
Your billing statement. Practices that use PayMyDoctor ask for the account number printed on your statement and your date of birth.
Where is the account number on my statement?
On Veradigm’s sample statement, it’s in the payment box next to Due Date and Amount Due, labelled ‘Account Number’. Use the number on your own statement.
Which payment methods does PayMyDoctor accept?
Practices list Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express, plus Google Pay and Apple Pay. One practice notes PayPal isn’t accepted. Your statement or doctor’s office can confirm the options for your bill.
Why won’t paymydoctor.com open?
It’s built for U.S. patients and may not load from some other countries. Try your doctor’s own PayMyDoctor link from your statement or their website, or pay by phone or mail as your statement explains.
Is paymydoctor.teampraxis.com the same as paymydoctor.com?
Not necessarily. paymydoctor.teampraxis.com is used by TeamPraxis, a separate medical billing company. Use whichever address is printed on your own statement.
Is an Explanation of Benefits a bill?
No. An Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurer or a program like CHAMPVA explains what was paid. Many say ‘Information only’ or ‘This is not a bill’. Pay only the statement from your provider.
Does PayMyDoctor have a customer service number?
Billing questions are handled by your doctor’s office. Call the billing number printed on your statement. Be careful with support numbers found on unofficial websites.
